Bachelor's adventure to Rishikesh-Mussorie in their own Strange way

It was thursday morning dated 26-05-2011, I was as usual sleeping in my bed, suddenly ashish and aman rushed into flat after completing their night shift of office and started shouting “pick the bag, insert the towel and other things”, I woke up and saw the clock hitting 6'o clock. Ashish came into my room and asked “ Vikas Rishikesh chalega?” “No” I said. First I thought he is joking but seeing their packing activities I soon realize he is serious. They started discussing what they will do on trip like rafting and other adventurous activities to make trip full of enjoyment and horror. Soon the packing was done and the flat was silent. As they started the car to go, suddenly I felt excited about the trip and called Ashish on phone “Wait Im also coming”. In this way our trip was planned within 15 minutes.
We started our trip with few clicks in front of our car and gate. By saying the name of god”Bol sanche darwar ki jai” Aman started the car and we five guys Aman my roommate from last 4 years, Ashish my best and childhood friend, and two of our x flatmates Robin and Jatin, four engineers and a Manager were on the way to most exciting adventure.

We planned to head towards Haridwar first . After fueling our car we were on our way to Haridwar via ghaziabad -meerut-saharanpur. While driving I was thinking of excuse for office break and it suddenly hit by saying my boss that I will be on leave as I have to visit chandigarh urgently because of my friend is under arrest for doing some illegal activities. He granted my leave saying take care and I was tensionless from my office. On the way touchwood our vehicle didn't created any problem anywhere except at starting point that too was minor. We headed to Haridwar with rotating shifts of driving and after 10 hours of driving we were in haridwar. Don't be shocked if we completed journey of 5 hours in 10 hours because we were on tour not on race. On the way we enjoyed a lot chanting, planning what we will do, joking on” YAMUNA NAGAR KE KISSE” as Jatin is from yamuna nagar always praising his place. After reaching Hardwar we directly headed to the holy river Ganga and took bath there. Soon after completing our bath and lunch, we start planning for our next destination. Every one was having their different place in mind, so voting was done and the final place selected was Rishikesh. The place was hardly 35 Km away from Haridwar and we were back in our seats soon after decision. It was almost dark and we chose the jungle way to head towards Rishikesh. That 35 KM way was awesome as it was pure jungle with empy road and Ganga flowing at one side. We started shouting in jungle and hooted a lot as there was no one to hear us, soon we reached Rishikesh booked a hotel to stay, had dinner and were on the beds to throw away our tiredness.

Day 2: Travellers do adventure by waking up early but we were still in bed till 11:00 am which we normally do on sunday, we woke up when a room boy told us that we have to vacant the room by 12:00. With the fresh day we were on with old jeans and new T-shirts spraying deo like water to look fresh and handsome. We clicked our room picks and decided to do river rafting . River rafting was one of the thing which attracted me to join this trip. After having a breakfast at Chotiwala restaurant we with fresh legs were on the way to Royal Travellers- a booking office of River rafting. We booked the rafting boat for four because Ashish was not ready for rafting due to his water fobia, we jacked him to join us but still he was not convienced. After our boat was booked rafting boy told us “ If you don't mind five others girls are also there can they join you?”; at that time all of our mouth were wide open and said in one single tone “YES NO PROBLEM” and started discussing what we will do on the way; that discussion I can't share sorry but I think that can be guessed, but soon our smile were shrinked because they were opting less dangerous way for rafting. So, we decided we will not compromise our fun in exchange of girls. We asked booking office guy we will stick to our booking only and will do 18 KM of rafting with nine major rapid zones., Soon the boat was loaded on their van and we were to the way of raft the river.
During our way to rafting we had a view of beautiful scenaries. On reaching at rafting point we were instructed by rafting guide about the do's and don'ts of rafting which we listened carefully. Soon we were packed by the rafting dress feeling like aliens and asked Ashish to click our snaps. We started rafting from a place called shivpuri where mountains were all around with camp tents and flowing ganga. Our guide ordered us “ Push Forward command” soon we started our journey with hooting. During rafting I was very much surprised and excited by the natural views which were never seen by us. On the way we faced some major and minor Ganga rapids which hindered our boat and excited us. In the middle of route there was place made for the rafters where they can do cliff jumping, our guide stopped our boat to provide us that opportunity.
The cliff was about 8-10 mtrs hight from where we have to jump. All of us jumped with high hooting except Jatin who was having height fobia. After cliff jumping we started our rafting again, after few kilometers our guide asked us “would you like to jump our of the boat' all of us in one tone loudly said “YES”; and jumped out of boat keeping ropes in hand for safety as river was about 100 fts deep. That swimming moments I enjoyed a lot we done board surfing for 4-5kms and ended our rafting at Rishikesh Ram jhula ghat where Ashish was waiting for us. We explained our journey to him with excitement which make his face smiling but having a little bit of down of missing that journey.
It was quite dark and again on the basis of voting we decided to head towards mussorie to enjoy the drive at night.
On the way to mussorie we were very much excited; as you know boys are boys we stopped the car in the baraat of unknown guy and started dancing. And believe we were dancing more than whose baraat it was even the groom was confused from whose side these guys are?, soon after dancing ended and were back in the seats to the beautiful snake roads of mussorie with high mountains at one side and valley on the other. We played antakshri in car and singed songs in one tone on the way and soon reached the place that is known as the “princess of mountains”. After reaching mussorie we were on mall road had dinner at one of the famous place and booked the hotel for night. The weather was chilled and all of us were on bed inside the blankets hugging each other because of cold in the month of june.

Day 3: Again same story we woke up at 11:00 am dressed with old jeans but new T-shirts to have a view of scennaries of mussorie and a place of natural beauty called kempty fall. We had a little walk of famous place mall road where we clicked few poses of our own with childish activities to make people giving attention towards us. Soon we were back on the snake roads making us enjoy natural beauty and do some poses in front of natural beauty. As soon as we reached kempy fall we were challaned by policemen as we were not carrying insurace documents. It hardly mattered as we tricked making the challan of Rs 2500 into Rs 200 only. After that we enjoyed at kempty fall for about 4 hours by swimming in natural water, standing in falling water making poses to click pics, even water fobia and height fobia Ashish and jatin were in water enjoying that moments. After good time spent in water we decided to end our journey and move back to delhi. It was dark and we start moving back. On our way Jatin demanded to see Poanta sahib gurudwara – a holy place of sikhs. Ab dost ne bola hai toh manana hi padega; soon after seeing the diversion mark of Poanta sahib 50 km our car was turned to the place demanded by Jatin and I think that was the decision which added a cheery on the cake for our trip which was unknown.
After a two hour journey we were at gurudwara where we prayed for some moments and had our dinner at langar. At gurudwara we also had a visit to museum which showed how sikh relegion was found and what were the various sacrifices which the sikh gurus done for their relegion.
After having a cup of tea at 1:00 am in gurudwara we leaved to delhi.

Most horrorful and intresting part of journey: This part was typically most horrorfull and it was what we call the real adventure. Aman chose to drive the car, the local residents told us the way of delhi via yamuna nagar. As soon as we started our journey we were in the dark jungle road, after few kilometers we were on the road with no house, no light, no vehicle. It was totally blank and dark road with only trees and sound of night species of jungle. Aman and me was excited as we were luking for this kind of journey Robin and Ashish was neutral and Jatin by god fully horrified. As we entered jungle I and aman started hooting like jungle foxes. Jatin stopped us but we continued, after few time we started scary stories to create more horror. And in the middle of jungle Aman stopped the car fully with no lights and asked me to come out of the car. Me and aman took the torch and headed towards the jungle with Ashish, jatin and robin decided to stay in the car. We again roared like foxes and ghosts in the jungle to have the experience of fear in our minds and body and believe me we had that experience litterally. Our hearts were beating fast but still we were out of car in that dark jungle standing near the place where people are burnt after death. It was something different which I had never done before. I will personally recommend don't do as it may be dangerous for the weak hearted people when we were back after doing this foolish activity Ashish scolded us and jatin was fully hiding holding Robin, pronouncing Hanuman chalisa. Again Aman started the car and we moved out of jungle with some horror experience discussing various black magic stories which I think are meaningless and created by human only to make fear in human minds. After reaching Hometown of Jatin Yamuna nagar we were on national highway which guided us to Delhi.

Whatever happened but our trip was full of what we can call adventure and each of us enjoyed it a lot. We reached delhi at 6:00 am and sleeped for whole day to give rest to our body!

Please give suggestions where we should visit next as I think that will be last trip of my bachelor life?

Thanks
